What a lovely weekend we have just had here. I cannot believe it was October weather. The sky was a perfect blue, the sun was shining and I felt good. The positivity was back. It's amazing how the weather can change that.

We went to work with the husband on Sunday enjoying a picnic outdoors whilst he did whatever he does in his lab. We found a Horse Chestnut tree in the grounds and foraged. And when the work was done we headed up to the National Trust property of Tyntesfield which was hosting 'Made in North Somerset' - a food and craft market. Perfect!

The senses were stimulated all around; the contrasting smoothness and spikes of the conkers, the smell of the cut trees, the expanse of green grass, the sunlight dappling through the Sweet Chestnut tree, the imagination fired off in the den. Colours were abundant in the greenhouses and kitchen garden; a flash of red chilli, the deep hue of the aubergine, the apple trees trained in a variety of shapes to climb the garden walls and huge orange pumpkins. Secret doors in the walls, herbs and salad aplenty and a big fat chocolate bagel to top it off.

Definitely perfect.
