365 #10 {Ups and downs}

It's been a week of ups and downs.
Bright sunshine one minute, hail and rain the next.
Running happily one minute, biting my lip trying not to cry in frustration the next.
I need more ups than downs.
Luckily the week ended with more ups.

Day 61
The rain returned today so we had another lazy Sunday involving Lego and DVDs for the kiddies, catching up on some other 365 blogs for me and the pub with his mates for the husband. I didn't sulk. Honest.
Day 62
Dodging the hail showers on the school run. I just loved the menacing look of the sky competing against the earlier sunshine.
Day 63
Frustratingly I took a photo of the same daffodils as snapped here. At that point I had written about how nice it was to walk my running route and stop and look at everything. Today I ran. But not for long. The knee went again so I walked back slowly, ironically giving me time to stop and look again.
Day 64
Walking across the playground today I came across a rather brave, some may say stupid, bumble bee. I'm not sure how long he chilled out for.
Day 65
A typical Thursday. Knackered from work. Early to bed hoping for a good night's sleep which resulted in being woken up by some strange noises outside then lying awake for most of the night worrying about everything and anything. But how awesome is the table on Mammasaurus' blog?
Day 66
So nice to be home from work in the daylight. And the dry. And the sunshine. Is Spring finally here?
Day 67
Child free heaven. The in-laws are here for a week from France so me and the husband managed to have an afternoon out in Bath by ourselves. We had coffee at The Society Café followed by a couple of beers at Graze then popped into our favourite local on the way home. I am so envious of you that have family nearby. This was a rare treat for us.

I hope you've all had a week of more ups than downs!

That stormy sky is so dramatic! Your afternoon out with the hubby sounds lovely. My parents live round the corner, which is fab. They look after the kids when I'm at work, but that means I feel guilty about asking for babysitters so that we can go out!

  3. Child free days are fab our nearest family are an hour away doesn't sound much but its very rare we get time just us plus then we always have to use it to do boring house stuff so enjoy it and make the most of it while you can :-) x

  4. Oh dear, you must be so annoyed with your knee? I hope it sorts itself soon and that you're able to go running on it before too much longer. That bumble bee is a bit mental isn't he? Why on Earth is he even around at the moment?!

Thanks for linking up to Project 365.

Im sure your in laws enjoy spending the time with their grandchildren, it is nice to get a break. Strange time of year for bees to be out and about. That is some moody clouds up there.

Love the pictures, especially the cafe - looks like the ideal place to have some grown-up time. Great bee photo - I can't wait to see them all back again after the winter. Spring!

  14. What lovely way to end the week. We don't have family close by either and it has been more than a year since we were out together without kids before dark!

Well I am personally on a continuous rollercoaster ride these days! That bumblebee photo is EPIC! Awesome when grandparents babysit...we don't get that option very often and take full advantage when we do.

  16. The lighter evenings and daffodils have been making me so happy recently, like in a weird double rainbow guy kind of way but they are so beautiful, spring is certainly here.
