Project 365 #39 {Autumn is in the air}

Fully back into the routine now of work with all of the children in full time.
The brain is fully functioning as it should be but the enthusiasm for this project is slipping a bit.
Work days become dull photo days!

Day 264
A perfect Sunday walk around Stourhead lake with a great friend and the children. We sat and talked and talked - which is always good.
Day 265
Coffee and lunch at a local café that is fast becoming a favourite.
Day 266
Misty mornings and dewy cobwebs are becoming a regular occurrence. Autumn is on its way.
Day 267
I knew the plant wouldn't last long - 12 days for this one.
Day 268
Looking for some hug therapy today - just like talking, it is a damn good thing to do.
Day 269
Cake day responsibility today at school. Extra cakes for MacMillan Coffee morning so obviously had to indulge.
Day 270
Our first conker haul at Lacock today. The girl loved the baby one!

Project 365 #38 {Stormy week}

The week started with a Sunday hangover that refused to budge. For days.
The Thursday night storms didn't help much either.

Day 257
The hangover started at 5a.m. and the day was a blur. I did manage to grab the new camera and get in the garden for some fresh air where the stone heart caught my eye.
Day 258
A rare drink out with the husband - window boxes showed me Summer was still hanging in there.
Day 259
A beautiful late Summer's day and I went for a wander around The Courts - another National Trust favourite. These artistic ladies across the pond made me smile.
Day 260
The girl was voted Star of the Week this week and today we had 'Owlivia' to stay.
Day 261
We were sat quietly in the front room on Thursday evening when at around 7:30 we heard some distant rumbling and noticed a very grey sky beyond the gerbera. Forecast checked I reassured the girl it would soon pass. Six hours later we had got through one of the worst storms I have ever witnessed. The aftermath? One seriously leaking loft, leaking ceilings in the children's bedrooms and damaged internet - hence the lateness of this post.
Day 262
The aftermath rolled into Friday. I picked up a text at work to inform me that the children's school had flooded so I had to leave my class to come home. We went for a wander across the flooded fields and spotted signs of Autumn all around.
Day 263
Time to get the train home after a girly afternoon in Bristol for some drinks and a good chat. Aviation cocktails come highly recommended.

Project 365 #37 {Birthday}

I have a love/hate relationship with September.
I used to like it more when I was younger.
Now it's a reminder I'm another year older.
Mid-life crisis is definitely looming!

Day 250

Lazy Sunday afternoon again enjoying the late Summer sun in the garden.

Day 251

Supermarket day and these just happened to fall into the trolley ready for the weekend. I had a lot of willpower not to consume earlier in the week.

Day 252

The Star Wars bag made me smile on the walk to school today - the boy's obsession grows.

The start of a new Yoga challenge.

Birthday for me and a new toy to play with!

A surprise tart and house plant, for me to kill probably, when I got in from work.

Day 256

Plans changed, but I can roll with that. A lovely river and canal walk and a paddle in the Avon.

Project 365 #36 {Back to school}

It had to happen.
Summer is now over and we are all back to school.
This always makes this project harder.

Day 243 Back home from the wedding and the sky is still blue.

Day 244 Bags packed ready for the return to work.

 

Day 245 Solo breakfasting is back. Some days this is actually nice.

 

Day 246 Back from work to some incoming postcircle mail. This always puts a smile on my face.

 

Day 247 I saw this on the back of The Simple Things magazine and liked the message.

 

Day 248 Friday chores at the end of the working week are always easier with a bottle of ale.

 

Day 249 Chores in the house and garden today. I'm not too happy with the chooks having woken me up at 6:30.
