Project 365 2017 #21

The temperatures got hot for week 21 of Project 365 2017. I'm also thinking I need to start recording the words for my daily photo each day as, at the end of the week, I look back and, even with a photo, forget what I did each day - is that normal?!

Day 141
I'm sure it was a usual lazy stay at home Sunday whilst the husband went to work. We definitely packed for the girl's trip to Cornwall tomorrow and I spent some time in the garden admiring my flower bed.
Day 142
We waved goodbye to the girl today as she went off to Cornwall on her school residential - I may have sniffed a little to see her go.
Day 143
An extra morning of yoga teaching today meant my usual Tuesday morning run became a lunchtime one; 7 miles later I was very hungry. This vegan shredded 'duck' wrap hit the spot.
Day 144
A change to routine with yoga class tonight instead of tomorrow. The hotter weather, and lighter nights, saw me walk there and back for the first time this year which meant I could pause and admire the yoga sky.
Day 145
A funny old day at work so I hit the mat at home to chill out. Looking up at the end I saw my sausage dog and mouse in silhouette form on the window sill.
Day 146
It was a hot one today but I had 3 miles to run on the marathon training plan. I hate running in the sun let alone 25c heat so I was obviously a hot sweaty mess at the end. I had to dig out my Love Hearts running vest to try and keep cool.
Day 147
A cloudy morning of yoga teaching then the sun broke out this afternoon. I dragged my old mat out into the garden, lit up some incense, chilled out and focused on some asana practice. It was all lovely - until the neighbour did his usual weekend thing of firing up his garden power tools!

Project 365 2017 #20

Week 20 of Project 365 2017 turned me into a sniffing, coughing, self-pitying mess!

Project 365 2017 day 134 - Gavin & Stacey // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 135 - Singing Bowls // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 136 - Popcorn 'Chicken' // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 137 - Peonies // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 138 - Bubble bath // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 139 - Dandelions // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 140 - Failed slime// 76sunflowers

Day 134
A lazy Sunday again - I say lazy, it was actually a day full of household chores and prepping for the week ahead. I dream of a lazy Sunday. Tonight we vegged out watching Gavin & Stacey - which is now 10 years old!
Day 135
My cold came out today but I had three yoga sessions to get through; after each one I felt a little bit worse then after the final session, with the lovely toddlers, my body just let it all out! Earlier in the day I just wanted to sit and play my yoga teacher's singing bowls - I must get one of my own soon.
Day 136
I had a full day of teaching yoga in a local school today which was lovely - although tiring with my cold which had shifted overnight to my chest and developed into a cough. I made it through and had a simple dinner of popcorn chicken from Asda - no chicken involved at all as it is vegan! Not sure why they call it chicken though?!
Day 137
Felt a bit better so pushed myself out for a run tonight - panicking a bit as way off marathon training plan already due to illness. I managed a good 5 miles. The peonies are in my front garden and really brighten up the space.
Day 138
A long Thursday and then I felt rubbish again tonight - all bunged up in the head and my stomach decided to balloon again with pain leaving me looking 5 months pregnant for the evening, There seems to be no clear link to a particular food so just going to track it some more. Instead of going to yoga I sadly sunk into a hot bubble bath.
Day 139
Home early from work tonight so pushed myself out for a run. My head was all over the place and the 4 miles were filled with negative thoughts questioning my ability at training for a marathon, teaching yoga and generally being self-pitying. I sat in the garden for a bit with the dandelion weeds and sulked and had a sniff before shaking myself out of it. Looking at my splits on Strava later it was a really good run!
Day 140
A lovely morning of yoga today with three busy classes of children and parents. This afternoon the girl wanted to make slime so we headed off out to buy the ingredients. It wasn't quite successful and she ended up with a big bowl of foamy mess - but she spent two hours playing with it which kept her off YouTube, so all good!

Project 365 2017 #19

Week 19 of Project 365 2017 saw me hanging around car parks, running and doing yoga - and squeezing some work days in too!

Project 365 2017 day 127 - Birthday number 9 // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 128 - Car park cycling // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 129 - Poppies // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 130 - Car park 5k // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 131 - Avacado toast // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 132 - Railway tunnel // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 133 - 9 mile run // 76sunflowers

Day 127
My boy is 9 today! I'm still trying to come to grips with that. The day started off with cake - I made it vegan so I could have a slice or two.
Day 128
My girl is flying with her cycling now and tonight we headed over to the local car park for her to ride around in a few circles.
Day 129
Marathon training officially started today with 8 miles round the town - walking back I spotted the poppies on the railway bridge.
Day 130
Back to the car park, with my girl and her bike, and tonight I wore my trainers and ran up and down and round and round quite a few times to clock up 5k.
Day 131
A light avacado on toast tea tonight before yoga class.
Day 132
I was allowed out from work today to visit some other settings - the walk took me under the railway through a tunnel.
Day 133
Back on the marathon plan tonight, which I have already had to adapt due to work next week, so it was 9 miles out on my own today across the fields and round the local villages.

Project 365 2017 #18

Week 18 of Project 365 2017 and a running niggle threw me off stride a bit but isn't putting me off a new challenge!

Project 365 2017 day 120 - Running with my boy // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 121 - 10k village run // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 122 - Lacock run // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 123 - Town church // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 124 - Cycling // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 125 - Marathon plan // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2017 day 126 - New Nikes // 76sunflowers

Day 120
The boy joined me today for a run around the block - I'm hoping he'll love running as much as I do.
Day 121
Bank Holiday Monday got off to a running start with a solo run for me on my usual 10k round the villages then on returning home the boy and girl came out with me for a run around the block.
Day 122
Back to school for the children again and back to Tuesday running buddy day; today we met up at Lacock for a gentle 5 mile plod - mainly due to a niggling piriformis issue with me. I need to strengthen my glutes again!
Day 123
It's that time of year where we're starting to meet the new intake for school next year so today I was let out to go into town to visit a small nursery. Nearby was the town church.
Day 124
After work I took my girl out for a practice ride on her borrowed bike; she has a 10 mile bike ride coming up on a school trip and has never really got to grips with cycling so we're having some last minute lessons in the local car park. Luckily she has taken to it like a duck to water - so one less thing to stress about!
Day 125
Tired Friday and, snuggled up in bed, I looked over a possible marathon plan. 18 weeks of running commitment is a big ask but it's on my unofficial bucket list.
Day 126
A lovely morning of yoga teaching this morning was followed by a gentle 5 miles; the leg felt better but not 100% so must keep up the extra stretching and strength exercises. It was also the second run out for my new Nikes - I'm hoping new shoes will help!
