Project 365 2015 #39

Autumn showed its face this week with cool sunny days, acorns and foraging.

Day 263
Today we appeared to be a super fit family with the boy doing rugby training, me doing a training run and all of us having a good throw around of the egg shaped ball with a final bit of basketball!
Day 264
We spotted acorns on the walk home from school today. The first additions for my Autumn table at work.
Day 265
Training run day again and a quick peek outside to check on my aster.
Day 266
Back to work day and a destress with a Pump workout and the first bit of yoga for over a week - it felt good!
Day 267
Lots of spiders hanging around the outdoor area at work lately!
Day 268
Evening run. I left the house with the sun going down and returned to moonlight. I'm not looking forward to the clock changes and running in the dark again.
Day 269
A lovely Saturday with an unplanned walk along the canal foraging for sloes and blackberries. Tonight I made the first sloe gin of 2015 from the haul last week and tomorrow I plan to make crumbles and pies. I love Autumn!

Project 365 2015 #38

It's been an up and down week of tiredness and emotions for week 38 of Project 365 2015.

Project 365 2015 day 261 - Sloe gin // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 262 - Morning cobwebs // 76sunflowers

Day 256
The first run with my new TomTom runner and half marathon training gets underway so the week starts off on a high.
Day 257
The husband returned from his bike ride with 2lb worth of sloes in his bag - they are now in the freezer ready for the gin to be purchased.
Day 258
My girl is all packed ready to head off tomorrow on her Year 5 residential. She is growing up way too quick for my liking.
Day 259
A trip into Bath today on the train with my lovely class. It was very tiring but worth it - and the forecast downpours held off until 3:00 pm.
Day 260
I went to look around the local secondary school tonight. I was very impressed but lots of discussions to be had before any decisions need to be made. The night ended with me getting teary over the fact we are looking around secondary schools already for my girl.
Day 261
Friday! I had no guilt in ditching a planned run tonight as I was too knackered. Instead I dug out the sloe gin from 2013!
Day 262
Saturday started foggy with some beautiful cobwebs on the car first thing before they blew off on the drive to swimming lessons. I should have ran today but a negative mind and tired daughter led to staying in where I did a double dose of Davina Cardio Box and Pump instead to get the endorphins buzzing. I will get out tomorrow!

Project 365 2015 #37

Week 37 of Project 365 for 2015 saw the first full week back to work with a full class - but not full days yet!
Tiredness has set in already but a birthday at the end of the week kept me going.

Project 365 2015 day 249 - Parklife // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 250 - Running & Yoga // 76sunflowers

Project 365 2015 day 252 - Evening run // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 253 - Vegetarian Haribos // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 254 - Birthday presents // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 255 - Glastonbury graffiti // 76sunflowers

Day 249
Time for some local parklife today in a nearby town. The weather was beautiful, we grabbed a coffee and played some rugby with the bandstand brass band for background music.
Day 250
Half marathon training officially started today! Not having run regularly all summer it was a tough 5k and the yoga was much needed afterwards.
Day 251
A rare morning and lunch in Bath at Sam's Kitchen with the husband where I picked out my birthday present.
Day 252
Work Wednesday was ended off with a much better 5k on my evening run.
Day 253
Tonight I baked and prepped for cake day tomorrow at work. I also bought vegetarian Haribos - which were a bit different.
Day 254
Birthday! I am now VERY close to the big four zero. My lovely TAs spoilt me and I opened my, already picked out but much wanted, birthday present TomTom running watch.
Day 255
Following swimming lessons and morning chores we packed a picnic and headed over to Glastonbury for a walk up the Tor and a wander around the town. I love the hidden alleyways and shops in the town and all the colours in the wall art graffiti that brightens up the place just perfectly. I think my local town could take note.

Project 365 2015 #36

We find ourselves back to school and back to routine for week 36 of Project 365 for 2015.

Project 365 #36

Project 365 2015 day 242 - Rugby boots // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 243 - Apple & Raspberry crumble // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 244 - Sunflower & bee // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 245 - Yoga by candlelight // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 246 - Scissors // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 247 - Poppy heads // 76sunflowers
Project 365 2015 day 248 - Half marathon plans // 76sunflowers

Day 242
The boy was brave and went to his first ever rugby training session in town today. He has three weeks to decide whether to commit but judging from his smiley face when he came home I now foresee myself as a Sunday morning rugby mum.
Day 243
A lazy Bank Holiday Monday with the kiddos at home whilst the husband went to work. I made a rather tasty apple and raspberry crumble with the latter fruit from the father in law's allotment.
Day 244
Training day at work today. Walking up to my room I saw a very happy bumble bee on the droopy sunflower.
Day 245
First day back with the children and I have decided to throw myself into 30 days of yoga to help relax every night. Tonight I lit a candle and incense stick and totally zoned out. Bliss.
Day 246
Back into the routine of observations and photos of learning. I brought them home forgetting to cut them all at work first so it was old fashioned scissors at the ready.
Day 247
Friday means I get home earlier and collect the kiddos from after school club. Making the most of the light evenings I wandered down the garden and noticed all the poppy heads had gone to seed.
Day 248
An early start wasn't actually needed as swimming lessons start next Saturday, not today! I went to Asda instead then chilled with the Saturday paper before making some firm training plans for next year's Bath Half Marathon - which I signed up for last Saturday night fuelled by Prosecco!
