I know it sounds clichéd to start afresh at the beginning of a new year but it works for me.
Christmas was fabulous - although the husband spent almost 72 hours of it in bed with flu which gave me the opportunity to shine with my roast producing skills, every cloud and all that.
But I over indulged.
I fell spectactularly off the healthy living wagon and enjoyed far too much food, chocolate and alcohol.
Classic.
So the new year is perfectly timed for me.
A time to set some challenges.
For the first time I'm setting myself the goal of participating in Project 365. I snap away loads on my phone anyway but not necessarily every day or with a purpose. Work days might be challenging.
365 #1
Day 1
The fitness regime is back on. I mastered it eighteen months ago but returning to the frontline in the classroom and having a different element of tiredness meant I stupidly let this slip. I am determined to not let this happen again.
Day 2
A walk around the local village reignited my dream to live in a country cottage. Yes this maybe a dream but every girl needs one of those right?
Day 3
Making use of the library again. I'm going to learn to crochet and delve into books more rather than the laptop or the iPad.
Day 4
This just sums up the day. Rain, wind, bedraggled chickens and a flooded school - again.
I'm linking up with lovely The Boy and Me so do go and check out her out...

Oh gosh I should probably add healthy living to my 2014 calender somewhere. I'm going to join in with 365 too and hopefully let it push me to really focus a bit more on my photography and capture some small moments that I tend to miss. I agree work days will be the challenge!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your fitness regime! xx
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with the fitness - aiming to do the same here too! It's hard work after Christmas! Love the second photo, just beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteI find work days the hardest when doing the 365. I often get to bedtime before remembering to take a photo. Good luck with the fitness. I love the chicken shot.
ReplyDeleteI quite fancy having a go at crochet again. I did learn a bit when I was a teenager, but would need to learn again. I should read more this year too.
ReplyDeleteLoving that chicken shot! Best of luck getting back into your fitness regime, and yes, we all have to have our dreams :)
ReplyDeleteOohh another new blog to visit for 365. Welcome aboard!
ReplyDeleteI've been saying for ages that I must get off the laptop but all I do is pick up my tablet instead!
I like the piccies of the Chicken..he looks so bedraggled.
I may have fallen off the wagon a few times towards the end of the year too!!! But with that 40 thing coming up later in the year i have 6 1/2 months to trim up and lose some weight eeeeek! you seem to have started already which is great - i plan to start in the morning so good luck to you.
ReplyDeleteand it is good to dream that and cottage is very pretty and i did not know you kept chickens x
I've decided I want to learn something like crochet, a trip to the library is needed!
ReplyDeletethe chicken looks rather bedraggled poor thing, mind if the school is flooded it would have been better with webbed feet. Love the country cottage but I aspire to detached, not semi detached ( lucky if I can afford a chicken shed let alone a detached country cottage but as you say we can dream.
ReplyDeleteI like crocheting, prefer it to knitting. Good luck with the hobby, look forward to seeing pics of things you have made
i met a lady on holiday who runs a chicken hotel! true fact
ReplyDeletewelcome to the 365 project x
Good luck with the fitness regime, you did do really well last time! Yes I fancy learning to crochet too, my mum can do it and informs me it's easy, we'll see!
ReplyDeleteSorry your OH missed Christmas! That cottage looks beautiful - I agree, it is important to have a dream!
ReplyDeleteI'm so chuffed that you're joining in, I don't visit your blog anywhere near as much as I should and this is a great prod in the derriere to do so. You exercise demon you, I shall be hiding in awe. That cottage is amazing, I'd love to live in something so picturesque.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Project 365.
I too am learning crochet - let me know if your books are worth a read!
ReplyDeleteMy first pic of the year was exercise related too... Good luck :)
I'm trying as well, though I'm starting with 52 - 365 sounds like setting myself up for failure! Good luck and see you on the 365 circuit :)
