Tyntesfield ~ National Trust {Country Kids}

We popped into Tyntesfield, National Trust, on Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours before the sun went down on a beautiful Autumn day.
We last visited in February and since then, like many National Trust properties, Tyntesfield have developed their outdoor spaces with children in mind.
I love how the National Trust are investing in the next generation and encouraging young families and children to enjoy the great outdoors.

 Plenty of space on the old tennis courts and through the cow field to run and explore.

 Even within the more formal gardens fun can be had.

The den under the tree has always been popular with my two. Today they did a bit of furniture rearranging for the next visitors.

We were so excited to see the development of the play area next to the Pavilion Café. In addition to the old tractor was a fantastic trail developed from natural resources and upturned apple boxes. The kiddos loved this and it was so nice to see the boy's confidence and gross motor skills developing as he clambered around independently!

Tyntesfield {National Trust} #HDYGG

Last Sunday we spent a lovely couple of hours exploring the grounds of, the National Trust property, Tyntesfield. As with many Trust places Tyntesfield has been pictured on this blog before back in Autumn 2013 and early Spring this year.
Autumn leaves were still aplenty but it was the gardens that I enjoyed exploring on this trip.

Getting up close again and appreciating all that trees have to offer on the way through to the greenhouse area.

In the Orangery garden plenty of blooms were still going strong, although some were starting to call it a day.

 Inside the Orangery itself was an impressive collection of ornamental gourds.

This sad flower caught my eye, somebody had placed it carefully in a corner so as to protect its fallen head.

Inside the walled garden plenty of flowers were still blooming but my eyes are always drawn to the doors - excitedly one was open today so my imagination couldn't run away with me too much as to what lay on the other side!

Tyntesfield

Tyntesfield, National Trust, is fast becoming one of our favourite places and spaces to visit. It's ideal for spending a couple of hours and I love to see the changes through the seasons. Finally, there were signs of Spring there this past weekend.

We relaxed on the old boating lake, admired the far reaching views, found pine cones, played on the vintage tractor, explored the walled kitchen garden which was looking a bit bare at this time of this year, found the wooden den, went into the rose garden for the first time and discovered the most beautiful tiles in the summerhouses and finally watched the sun go down through the trees.

For once I left the filters alone and these photos are all point and snap on my trusty mobile phone.

Conkers and Tyntesfield

What a lovely weekend we have just had here. I cannot believe it was October weather. The sky was a perfect blue, the sun was shining and I felt good. The positivity was back. It's amazing how the weather can change that.

We went to work with the husband on Sunday enjoying a picnic outdoors whilst he did whatever he does in his lab. We found a Horse Chestnut tree in the grounds and foraged. And when the work was done we headed up to the National Trust property of Tyntesfield which was hosting 'Made in North Somerset' - a food and craft market. Perfect!
